i love it. **** em if they can't take a joke.
bike was made out of two wrecked bikes. the tank was already smashed on the side. sometimes if you jump too quick your nuts get crushed on the outside of the tank!! haha!! as far as gas...****!! i carry a screwdriver to jimmy the cap. if that doesn't work i use the allan key to take the whole cap off!!

Re: Who has the worst lookin tank?
I used jb weld to seal 2 leaks on my takn
lasted about 3 months before the jb weld got 'gummy' and started leaking..
After it got gummy, I was able to just peel it right off the tank
After that tried "gas tank seal all" from walmart.. said right on it "for fixing leaks in gas cans"
it lasted about 6 months, before it started to leak again.. Its still on there, not gummy, and it doesn't leak bad.. But if you wheelie a lot, there gets to be like a 1 inch trail of gas running down the tank
People say jb weld works, but it didn't for me on NEITHER of my holes...
But I still use jb weld to seal oil leaks in crank cases and ****...
edit: I've heard bondo seals gas leaks.. But I'm iffy about trying it
I would hate to do the work of bondoing, sanding, painting, just for 3 months later gas to be cracking and ruining my paint..

Re: Who has the worst lookin tank?
i think jb weld's good but you should...A. run the tank dry as many times as it'll fire up. even the vapors left behind will **** up adhesion. B. sand the area around the hole and clean it. the cleaner the better.C.give it sufficient drying time. not saying it'l never leak again, but you'll get some good time out of it.
here's another one. this ****** hurts!!!haha!!

Re: Who has the worst lookin tank?
That's an easy way to start. If you're not wanting to do that, just start with a rubber hammer, start around the gas cap and work your way out. Tell ya what, get ahold of KJ on SL, he does a lot of tanks, he can tell you more.

Re: Who has the worst lookin tank?
A dead-blow, and a small rubber mallet. I've heard some guys can start a good dent by jumping on it, but I wouldn't try it. Get yourself a slightly rashed tank off ebay, your minty tank is worth too much $ to acciDENTally(lol) **** it up. Granted, a minty tank is easier to dent, but IMO I'ld rather practice on a $100 tank than one that's worth $4-500. Good luck!
