To find judges that have absolutley no personal connection to the riders yet still has enough knowledge of riding to fairly judge a comp would be impossible.

Ezec made a very good point. Luke Duke is from the tiny state of Connecticut. Not many people know who he is. Even in Connecticut a lot of people don't know who he is (even thought he's a great stunter). He finished 4th, so that makes me doubt the whole popularity contest argument. No offense, just how it looks from here.

nags ftw. maybe you guys when you form a union can train judges? without giving them any biases? maybe in a group format... lol

regardless of judging and people being biased all the riders killed it and its amazing to see the event get bigger every year. im sure with time details like judging will be worked out so this wont be a dicussion. im impressed with the point deduction system already. in time grasshoppers all will work out

Frank!! Those were perfectly executed front wheel powerslides!
After those powerslides I was laughing having a good time just glad to have made it in the finals(you can't be mad at that qualifying run tho). Not bad for riding once a month for the past 3 years
Next year I'm going to get out there early so I'll have more that 30secs of practice time on the Nascar track.
Everyone's opinion is different and with a competition with over 50% opinion points no two people will give the same person the same score.
PS. I've attached the freestyle run formula. That should clear a few things up.

And that he just stopped his run after almost washing out 4 stoppie attempts!
He really only got 1 good pass with all his acros, and 1 decent burnout variation he only did 1 hc stoppie and a few wheelies
He was laughing about it.....everyone can have a bad run or something happens that keps them out of the finals.....
He said at least he didn't drop the bike !
