do I have to cut my nice new brembo pics inside

From what you can see in pics , should I cut the levers down on my clutch and my Brembo 16x18 master! I plan on leaving the pegs and will be dropping my bike a few times more then normal! I have never ridden with a handbrake and want to try and keep it on the bars for a little while! Should i buy a short lever ? just looking for some input! thanx

DO NOT CUT YOUR HB LEVER!!!

just get a msr or mosse ez pull shorty clutch lever

plus you will be able to set it up easier then with the stocker

you need to move the handbrake to the inside before you cut it because you will get more leverage that way

I've got a hand brake on my bike that I'm trying to learn to use, looking @ the pic I wonder if the clutch will smoosh your finger when its on the brake at the same time, maybe shorten the clutch lever for more room. My brake lever is full size and clutch is a shorty and hasn't snapped off yet, and I'm dumping the bike here and there.

I cut the ***** off the ends of my levers so they don't hit my finger went I pull them in at the same time.

I wouldn't cut the hb lever, but I would def shorten the clutch or just get the msr like mentioned above. I've had many flops and haven't snapped my hb yet...

Re: do I have to cut my nice new brembo pics inside

I saw someone on here notched theirs so if it hits the floor at the right spot it would just snap off at the notch rather than bending the lever all out of wack.

I cut my levers as short as possible. I did leave my handbrake a little longer than I like just in case I need a O-**** handle.

Re: do I have to cut my nice new brembo pics inside

do not cut that lever....one reason is if your just learning how to use one, your going to end up moving it around abit to find where it is the comfiest...the farther you are on the end of the lever the better leverage you have( more power, less finger ware)...
