powers cage.....

anyone have problems wit powers cage bending or the bolts breaking??? i crashed on my bike from a 12 and it broke the bolts on the bottom and bent the **** outta the cage..... and Juar3z wrecked too from a 12 and bent the **** outta his cage and it broke his frame...... this very common??? so far it is wit us and we were goin like 5 mph berly moving so it just twisted on me when i was tryin to come down i pulled my hb and it locked my back tire...... thank God i didnt break my mounts or frame... guess the bottom was the weak point and snapped under pressure i finally got it pulled out yesterday..... oh and yes we had the rubber pieces in that come wit the cage, we had to get em shipped cause they forgot to send em wit the cage.....

powers cages = big ugly jungle gym, i actually lost my brother in a powers cage, we can see from searching his cell phone gps that he is still in the cage but we cant pinpoint his location......****** powers wont help us find him either.

Re: powers cage.....

Ive dropped my bike from 12 at idle 2 times. First time tweaked the clutch guards around the lever so I had to spread them out so the clutch would engage again.. other time rotated my clip on and for some reason my horn was stuck. **** was funny. but bike bounced from pancake. and various throwdowns in there. Ive taken it off and its bolted right back up. I love the strength but hate the bulk and bad lean angles. but for now as Im learing I think Ill go with strength.. Go Powers

Re: powers cage.....

I need to get my vortex clipons and subcage first then I'm going si..... cause I know my new powers right side cage would take FOREVER! and I don't feel like waiting FOREVER for my cage or refund! I'm not going to lie when I ordered my cage it was good service but that was a year and a half ago.... and I'm still waiting on some crappy pieces of rubber for my cage but its too late now! but o well now its time for an si cage and OMR subcage!

Re: powers cage.....

Not to be the lone ranger here but I've got a powers cage on my 03 r6 that's been dropped from 12 and never had any problem with it at all! Maybe it's just an r6 thing but my cage is sturdy as hell!

+1 on the customer service and shipping time though....slow as hell, but was worth it to me

Re: powers cage.....

i was just guessing the bolts broke but maybe not from what i read...... but i will say that it did save a bunch of **** on my bike, but it bounced like a mug and flipped over to the other side and got stuck upside down cause of the sliders, but its just like a throw away, that **** sucks ***! i could have saved like 75 bucks and went FI if i wanted a throw away, 2 of my crew have wrecked and had to get a new cage cause the FI went to **** wit in 2 wrecks, the powers looks good still but ill soon find out if it'll hold on another pancake........ Juar3z on the other hand i havent seen it yet but from what i hear from our crew its done....... and F powers customer service!!!!!!!! it took me a week to get ahold of em to order the cage then a month and a half to get the damn thing....... and i was tryin to order a 12 bar an sub from em and i have yet to hear back and its been like 8 months so i went wit 905 12 but that **** didnt even bolt up right i had to mod the **** outta it to make it work
