well it sounds like the regulator wasn't converting so that does sound like your gremlin.hit me up if your still having problems

not an expert. but heres what i'd check first

1.new battery(you've already got that covered)
2.check charging voltage with a multimeter on battery. at 5 or 6k it should be close to 14 volts.
3. If that is good. then most likely be the regulator/rectifier.

Mine was fine then a week after doodles bike did it mine fucked up n iv been pop starting the bike for months now i think i might need a magneto

the regulator over heats due to high amperage....not much you can do to prevent it either.....after a while the regulator just cant handle the load and the weak point in the circuit is the plug. heat-plastic-melt-dead
battery 9hundos do it all the time.

put the new rectifier on, guna go get a new battery, and sum dielectric greese..the white plug by the stator seemed to be fine no melting or corosion..one of the relays on the subframe makes a wierd clicking sound when i turn th key on..i took it off an it was all green an corroded on the inside

recto or stater. one or the two. Check the connection between the recto and stater. connection may be melted 2gether. Both may be bad.
