I have a 2 and a 4yo and my wife supports my riding 100% :YEAH + kids are great!
Thad came to Florida with his family last year and did a really good job of spending time with his family all day and then finding the time to come out late night to ride with us......... I guess its all about time management???

Re: Parents
and it's all personal preference. when i have kids i doubt i'll do this. this isn't something a responsible adult does...unless you absolutely don't do it on the streets and have a privately owned place to practice and you make money on it.....it's just a dangerous hobby. plain and simple.
i will probably cut down my riding a large ammount (can't say all the way) when i have kids. i can't risk leaving kids behind because of a stupid accident.

hate to break it to you but he won't be riding a 50 forever either....i could explain to you the stages of human developement if you'd like, but i'm sure you would understand why.

Re: Parents
what about the stunt rider who has a baby and doesnt do a damn thing for her?
Spends all his money on himself buying bikes, and cars, and jetskis... spends all his time watching tv and lounging but never with his baby... doesnt show off pictures of his baby girl... none of his friends have seen her
What kind of father does that make him?
Did I mention that while his daughter's mom is caring for her terminally ill mother whom has cancer, he goes out every weekend and doesnt even bother to help out with his daughter?

Re: Parents
My daughter was mmm like 4 yrs old when I got my first bike, my Mille. ...and that was the first bike I ever rode EVER!
I started stunting seriously with the big bikes prolly this last summer. My wife hates it..... mainly cuz all the lot lizards and stuntwhores. Not because of the added element of danger. My daughter in regards to stuntriding.... well, I've posted these before but to those who haven't seen them....
She's only 8 yrs old in all these pics. She's 9 now and I'm glad I had her when I was 24 so I won't be elderly when she's off to school in 9 years. Hopefully she picks Florida or Arizona and we can move with her... hahahaha!
Answering your question tho, for me I did it backwards. When she was born, I was running a shop (tattoo) in KC. And then after a while, I started my own contracting business and then began stunting as an addition to hunting as a past time. I would say it arose mainly just as a byproduct of buying a sportbike! Had I not done that, who knows if I wouldv'e ever wanted to stunt..
I really don't think my family has ever ben a real concern to me unless you are talking about managing time like they all have said. I may not get to hang out or ride as much as a single dude who's not a daddy... but that's well worth the trade IMO. Besides all my stunter friends are starting to get hitched up and knocked up, so it'll all even out... Playpens at the stuntspot!!:YEAH
GOD THIS IS LONG ENOUGH ALEREDY, BUT
before any **** starts.... my daughter always wears her lid, she has a gas pocketbike, and that one is her old electric one she got when she was 4 that she was letting one of my buddies kids use that day at the spot.
And the pic of my gix, was right after I started to turn it into a lot bike...(1,000 miles on the odo.) and parts were coming in the mail left and right, but my daughter begged me for some Sonic ice cream so whadda ya gonna do? **** taking that nice *** Aprilila!! hahaha
good luck with your baby! and yea it's gonna change everything.

Re: Parents
They are rubber boots... hahaha
I comment about her not wearing a helmet and someone has to mention her boots.... wow. I can't help it man, she's a fashion princess, you know...... how shiek! Rubber boots, the shoe of choice for lil girls out on the farm for spring of 07! LOL
She borrowed Kane's shoes for the other pics.... haha sorry Kane/fashion show reference...haha
Cute baby pic Tony L! It won't be long man and you'll have lil riding partner too! Congrats!
It's like my old Granddaddy said to me on my wedding day, outside the wedding hall, over a smoke and his flask of whiskey. With a raspy voice and while patting a rhythm out on his leg, he belted this out all HeeHaw meets Vaudville style....
"OH it's naughty naughty naughty but it's nice,
Everybody does it once or twice.
It's done across the nation to increase the population, OH
it's naughty naughty naughty but it's nice!"
Then he laughed that old man laugh where it's just breath sounds, no voice...lol He said, "Son, on the honey moon try and act surprised!"
My grandpa was a wise man... and a lil drunk!
