I have a Dremel tool. take that and cut around the pipe to the length u want, make sure it is straight. Cut the packing down, cut the innercore. Then slip ur cap back on and drill holes so u can rivet the cap on. It only takes about 20 min to do. My pipe gets shorter and shorter cause when u crash carbon doesnt hold up, the rivets get riped out. so I have done this a couple of times. get an aluminum or s/steel can for stunting, they are a lot more durable.
ur yamaha can is super easy to cut down since the cap slips over the whole exust. u can cut that with a hacksaw and then just re-rivet the cap on.

definately roll with stock pipes. less cops, and people getting pissed off, thinking your racing your bike the whole time. when your not racing at all... people are morons.

I HAVE A FULL HINDLE AND IT DOESNT TOUCH WHEN I SCRAPE BUT IVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT CUTTING IT SINCE I HAVE A TI CAN, TAKE THE EXTRAS THAT I CUT AND PUT THEM ON THE 12 BAR. I THINK STOCK HAS NO GIVE IF YOU CRASH, YOU CRASH WITH A FULL PIPE AND YOU CAN REPLACE MID PIPE BACK IF YOU WANT. THEY ARE NICE AND QUIET THOUGH

if you want loud on a gixxer go D&D without a doubt
cut in half and your as loud as you can go without a pipe.
i use that at shows
but stock is the way to go anywhere else. for practice etc..
FTP
the D&D sounds like this:Pipe Sound

i have a yoshi rs-3 hollowed out and cut 3" it sounds awesome. we have a bad az place to practice so we don't have to worry about noise levels...stock on a gixxer is nice to cuz they are short enough so you can 12 and not scrap and they are small unlike them honda's that have a good damn 8" sh*t pipe for an exhaust
no offense to honda guys cuz honda's kick az i'm just a zuki guy (i like the nice plush seat )
