Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
I dont have sound on my PC at work so I cant hear anything going on..
but ECTHEMC mentioned people gave him pointers a few other times...
Everyone is hard headed in their own way and really no matter how many times you tell a person how to do it or what to do, unless they're actualyl willing to take the advice, you cant really do much

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
but if you took your time. worked at your own pace. you would be just another guy trying to learn to kill it..
Iv never ridden above my ability- and have taken things in moderation. if i was labeled a squid id laugh.. but I dont try to do anything above my riding skill.

there was a picture of a dude.. on a shiny mint R1- He was on the highway with his hat backwards. his nice custom painted helment on the helment holder.. and he was talking on his cellphone with his left hand.. monitoring throttle with his right hand.. dont got the picture now to post it.

Well if you drop a brake levar on it, 12 bar and crash cage and go around driving 145 mph trying to drop the clutch.. id have to label you a squid..

thats the main thing, not goin over your head.....he shoulda been ridn whoolies at a fastrer pace befor he go and pop the clutch......i can clutch my lil bike up without using the hb but i wont do that **** on the big bike til i get power whoolies....then i will clutch it after a lil bit and be

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
You're a squid
seriously though I think you missed the whole point of the thread, cause if you were riding/stunting around all the non stunting sportbike riders that think a big sprocket = easy wheelies when they can't even do one in stock first gear, then you should understand. Anybody can learn to ride a wheelie. But no one jumps on a bike and insteantly does it.
And I've found that most pro/expert stunters are always helpful if the person learning is not a know it all jerk.
Nothing personal towards you

Pop the clutch.. hit the brake.. Pop the clutch.. Hit the brake.. Pop the clutch.. Hit the brake.. Pop the clutch.. hit the brake.. Pop the clutch.. Hit the brake.. Pop the clutch.. Hit the brake..
Occasionaly I try to bring it up higher.. thinking i got it down.. then i bring it to far.. loop it.. or hit the brake and mouse trap..
but I got the brake part down.. jus not hitting it the correct levarage etc to balance it.. iv gotten a cpl nice coasters on bp.. a few.. and then i got to tell myself to SLOW THE **** DOWN!!!!!! (before i kill myself)

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
but power one are not the way to start
I started with clutching up slow wheelies and had never even done one before. And several of the guys around here started out the way.
Someone who can already do power wheelies will have an easier time learning slow stuff, but that doesn't make it safer to learn by starting with power instead of clutch

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
Ok nigel had THEHATE. and another very good rider. telling him what to do. you can ask him yourself they tried and tried. and he sure as hell dont listen to me.
But T was successful getting me to use my brake.. I use it.. I just use it a lil to hard most the time.. <but proven fact ive been learning from some damn good riders> and im damn lucky for that !!
He had all the help and supervision/advice in the world. He just gave up.

IF someone wont listen to someone doing no handers, then they dont have what it takes to do stunts
Nuts seeing someone clutch straight to the bar when they dont know where the brake is

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
everyone learns backwards tho. i learned to pop it up power style and back then i was freaked out about the clutch up.. then i realized if u only give it a lil gas it cant go that high. aposed to chasing a underpowered power wheelie with more power will only cause you to loop if you dont get there on the first pull

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
that was denis in the second video.. they kill it.. those clips dont give justice to what those kats can do.. honestly they prolly mentally hate me for "posting bad footage" of them

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
Power wheelies are good I guess, learning to clutch it up and get the feel for the brake... good practise...
BUT if the person (im just speaking in general) already has rear brake down on lock from expirience on a different bike... then I think jumping to clutch up slow wheelies is fine................
Im not talking about jumping on the bike and trying to learn BP right away..... but just learning to clutch it up and getting used to the rear brake........even if you're bringing it up then hitting the brake right away to bring it down and you repeat this serveral times until you get completely comfortable with the rear brake.....
You've already got the concept on lock, you just have to practise enough times to get the skilllls

To a squid your statement makes no sense and a clutch is scary.

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
thats just what i used to think.. but now i fully support clutch ups and wont bring the front up any other way !

Re: Video: SQUIDS THAT TRY TO STUNT-
Power wheelies are bad .
learn to clutch and use the brake. it is like you said, all about the practise.
being able to use the brake on the 50 will definitly help, although I went the other way. I learned brake control on my F4i and just lately got a 50 so using brake on it was cake :YEAH
