05/06 636 stunt stays, need some input from riders.
Hey all you 05/06 636 riders I need some imput from you guys
Thanks to BETO I got and upper and windscreen to start designing a stay for the 05/06. I hit a little setback when I took my buddies cage off to mount the full fairings to start designing it. Noticed 2 huge 3"+ long cracks in his frame New frame is on the way and should be here in a week or so, but for now Ive started to get my ideas together.....
So anyways heres my question, this is were I plan to stop the stays and add the top cross bar. Is this ok for you guys? Are you willing to cut that much off your uppers? Its roughly 5-1/2" from the top of the windscreen...I can go futher up but I dont want to if its ok with you guys...The futher up I go the more leverage there is on that tubing and the easier it is to bend when you crash...Right now that piece is exaclty the same for both my 03/04 636 and F4i stays....
So just let me know what you guys think? Good or too short?

Its still a 5x10' sheet of 1/4" 6061 aluminum right now, waiting for its turn to be cut on a CNC water jet....You see last year the people that water jet my parts for me werent busy with that machine, but now they got into cutting stone and marble and **** like that...And they are very busy on that machine, even thou I put in my order a few weeks ago it still hasnt been cut....
Im on it thou....And they are literally just down the street from me, so as soon as I get my parts I'll be jigging up stays...Im shooting to have some ready early in the new year, about the 2nd week of Jan...

Looks good JohnnyP, keep it! Most flip and run handbrakes, so if it's any longer I think it will hit.
I had to cut mine down quite a bit, and I don't think I would be able to run it if it's any longer.
Keep err short.

No problems at all w/ the stay it's been solid as hell. I actually cut one of them down quite a bit to fit my turned out wide FI clipons... but it still does the job.
Keep it up buddy.
