i like bigger rotors myself Stoppies are smoother....

that's an f4i rear wheel....

why didn't you use a 600rr wheel? would've been easier.

Re: f4i mods

if you use a 600rr rear wheel then you don't have to swap any bearings or spacers or axle....

i have a 600rr rear on my f4i swingarm.... was a bitch to make it fit w/ bearings/spacers etc.... but it looks pimp w/ my 1000rr front rim

Re: f4i mods

ok, I have a 05-06 600rr swingarm. Can I put this on my F4I with the F4I rear wheel? I know I will have to get a 600rr shock. Do I use all the rr shock linkage too?

the size of the rotors is only one small factor when doing long stoppies.(not that i'm a pro) but i'm rolling well over 500 on a shitty stock 9hundo frontend. it's all about getting it to BP quickly and how smooth u r on the lever.wait till i get that new bike out:YEAH

Re: f4i mods

OK, so im running a 954rr front end on my f4i with D/b Bars , Full Fairing, What kind of clip ons can I run? Im used to a stock f4i front with clip ons turned out straight, and have been running d/b's and im not sure i like em yet.

I cant ride to my full potentional yet because of the front end swap, and the d/b 's its becoming frustrating.

well i've had all the setups so far and DB's were the most comfortable, but it did feel like i was always hanging off of them.then i had vortex and 636 clips flipped and turned out but that setup beat my wrists to death.so my final setup is 0 degree's and so far i love em but i dont have much riding time with them due to mother nature.so i would say go with 0 degrees

Just curious why you think 0 degree clips are easier on your wrists??? I just put flipped 636 clip ons on my bike and I hope it doesn't suck!

Re: f4i mods

flipped clipons beat the **** out of my wrists.i'd say i rode with them 10 times and everytime i get off the bike my wrist feel like they are clicking in my joints.my advise is go with the 0 degrees or what i'm going to try if the 0's dont work is a set of 7/8 drag bars

by the way the 0's have no upward angle (so they are more natural on the wrists pivot points
