Exclamation Retiring The 900rr For A 600rr-- I Need Some Help Setting This 600rr Up Though.

so im giving the 900rr to my girl to ride..

and im stunting out a 600 rr.

but just like any bike ... i need to know what kind of faults the 600 rr have..

couple of dumb questions i got..

1 can i use the stock pipe instead of puting in a 12 bar ??
oviouslt im not doing bar tricks n **** on the stock pipe... but will it hold up with the occasional scrape n **** ?

2 how is the radiator mounts hold up ?? shoudl i secure the radiator before the tabs break ??

3 hows the front fairing hold up ?? do the heavy headlights break the front faing out ??

4 how do u bypass the tip sensor ?? or can u ??

5 can i turn the clip ons out ? it has a weird riding position .

6 does the idle **** up liek the f4i when u turn it up above 2500 or so ??

basicly what kind of problems does this **** have.. id rather have it as stunt ready as possible before its in worse shape and beyond repair.

????... i got more... just thinking ??

couple things i can answer cause my buddy has one....

the idle does **** up when you turn it up.

you can turn the clipons out.

get a OMR subcage cause the bike is cramped.

you can scrape the hell outta the pipe. www.jessetoler.com

Yes 2 of my friends rock them and just wore the end of the pipe off eventually. But it still sounds / runs like new

2 how is the radiator mounts hold up ?? shoudl i secure the radiator before the tabs break ??

Have never seen a problem with them.

3 hows the front fairing hold up ?? do the heavy headlights break the front faing out ??

I have seen it crack the same as it does on the f4i from the weight of the headlight.

4 how do u bypass the tip sensor ?? or can u ??

Same way you do it on the f4i clip the sensor tape the 2 outer wires together leave the middle. It sites in the middle of the headlight. Or if you dont want to cut it just Jump the first and third hole with a small piece of wire, leave the middle.

5 can i turn the clip ons out ? it has a weird riding position .

They can be turned out / flipped and turned out. when they are flipped i think they hit the front cowl from what i remember.

6 does the idle **** up liek the f4i when u turn it up above 2500 or so ??

The idle runs pretty strong but it does bog a lot from what i have seen.

I made the SAME transfer.

Do the second idle screw mod, to fix the idle. You will have NO problems with the idle after that. You can find detailed directions on 600rr.net.

http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.p...light=idle+mod

Thats info on the Tip Sensor bypass, idle mod, and fan switch.

I flipped and turned my clip ons. You have to cut some of the upper but not much. The gauges dont clear when you do that. Not a big deal if youre not running gauges.

DEFINETLEY get an OMR subcage. It makes a difference.

1. Cage set up so rear sets don't break!
2. Subframe cage with solid pegs to help with the common roll over in crashes..It works real well!

You can kill the stock pipe forever!

https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/2-s...r-ne-body.html

Pulls like a truck, -1 +10....I would actually go +12 to +15....it would be better.

There are a bunch of little tricks to get this perfect....
1. Just jump the tip over sensor...don't clip it....I sodered mine in never a problem!
2. Change out the coolant to engine ice and hard wire the fan to the ignition..it runs real hot...at 231 deg the idle will fluxuate....
3. drill and hard mount the radiator using the rubber washers.

right on for the most part brutha

i had the clip-ons flipped and turned out a little bit...cant do it too much or else when you turn to the left, the brake hits the upper and that could cause problems

i havent had any problems with the radiator mounts but one of my buddies that has an rr said to just wait haha

the stock pipe is nice for scraping

1.yes, but you cant slam it like the 900 and get away with it.
2. get some big *** zip ties and support on your frame
3.4.5 dont know
6. my f4i or my friends RR doesnt mess up at all, do you use the stock adjuster or did you do the idle mod?
