well, i'm not joking at all, i got an epidermal....usually used for pregnancy's....i was talking to dan jackson on the phone last night and he had the same problem as i had when he broke his femur, what happens is the scar tissue wont allow the knee to bend all the way. My doctor said we have a two week window where "manipulating" the knee will help with movement, which means they knock you out and take your leg and bend it till the knee gives way and eventually bends again, my amputation is just below my knee so they didn't have much leverage but i could only bend my knee at most 51 degrees on my own, they "manipulated" it to 100 degrees. i didn't feel any of that because they gave me an epidermal, which wasn't told to me until 10 mins before game time, i was like.....yeah, whatever lets just get this done.....well it was nice until after the procedure and i needed to ****.......well........i couldn't, honestly i sat on the toilet for about 20 mins praying that **** would flow freely somehow......it didn't......so they jammed a catheter in my ***** which i could feel with NO problem....HOLY **** that hurts, i'm not lying......i yelled in pain....i'm not posting this for sympathy or any bullshit like that....i'm posting this because if this ever happens to you, you will have some idea what to expect to go through......i'm seriously not a tough guy or bad ***, the pain is there and i can't do anything about it, so i figured i would share my stories with you guys.......seriously though, i wouldn't EVER wish what i'm going through right now to anybody......this sounds gay as aids, but the only thing really keeping me going is the thought of competing again......and it's not even the ******* competition that i'm worried about, it's the hanging out with everybody and doing stupid **** all weekend.....here's a pic of my femur before the rod was placed in it.

that sucks. i had the same thing happen with the epidermal!! i had my foot crushed in an accident and i was on crutches/wheelchair for 3 years. not nearly as bad as you, i know. but the cathater thing and EVERYTHING!! man! that sucked.

man i had a similar problem, not as severe tho, when i got in my accident. couldnt move my leg for a bit. just ended up poppin some perks and would try and move it as much and as often as i could till the pain killers wore off. just keep it movin as much as possible man, oh, and there is no avoidin that catheter pain...had one when i was a kid, ****** hurt like a bitch.

 

Hope they got the ill mix of perks, dillodid, morphine for ya.

I've just got to say you are taking this like a CHAMP! I broke my femur in 2 places back in March, and the exact same thing happened with my flexibility, only the doc just told me good luck, it'll come back in time, so I feel you on that. That's only a portion of your injuries though and you're on here joking around about it:YEAH . You are my hero.
