Yeah I bet it wont stop there. Soon the bill of rights will be something of the past. The government is just testing its people, they are not going for the whole cake at first, they will take a piece and see how the structure of the cake holds before taking the rest. Meaning, if people don't make a fuss about this, they can pretty much say goodbye to their own rights for it is inevitable that the government will soon take thoose aswell.

there isn't gonna be a fuss about this until something tragic happens & makes the headlines. hell i didn't know about this until the link was posted. i'd put money on it, that atleast 75% of americans don't even know this type of legislation is even being thought of...nevermind being put into effect. i'll tell you what, my neighbor is a state rep. when i get home from work, i'm going to wheelie the quad to his house & ask him if hes aware of this ****...i doubt even he (a career politician) knows about it.

Stop posting and start writing to your Reps!

Dear Mr. Kagen
I wrote to you a few months back about my opposition to the H.R. 1022 bill and was proud to get the response back that you were also opposed to it. Now I have learned about another government threat to the general public’s Bill of Rights with a “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act”. I have read some about this, and I’m not impressed with the amount of detail that this act would interfere with most anyone with independent thoughts. Could you please point me in a better direction as to what this bill is intended to achieve and how you stand on it?

Also, I spend a lot of time in online forums where I voice my political views and would like to be more active politically. Is there an area online where I could express myself to make a difference in the way the yeoman public can be viewed? I’d hope that this area could also be used as a primary source on political issues so that the media would not have an influence on how topics are perceived. I know that this is a vague idea, but I’d like to use my political efforts in a way that can support you and help show how the public reacts to hot topics. Thank you for all you have done, and will do in years to come!

Your proud supporter,
Adam
