Locking out your Back Footpeg?

Re: Locking out your Back Footpeg?
if you lock it be ready to break it off at the slightest drop. What i did a while back with an FZR was tack weld the crack on the top side. that way it locked out unless something hit it hard enough. The stock pegs are pot metal so the wasnt a way to weld them out permanantly if you wanted to. Your best bet is an aftermarket subcage

Re: Locking out your Back Footpeg?
Mine folded up when I had the 05 R6..... I was slow wheeling down a side road in front of some people that connected us to another long country road, its one of those battlefield park ways well anyways bring it up riding it, and the foot peg just folded. I stepped off ran behind it and it slam down, bout had to almost go change my pants... haaha

I don't quite get it... Are u talking about the foot peg folding up while busting combos, and then reaching for the peg and not having it in the down position?

I'm talking about the 03 to 05 R6, having a peg in a position where if you don't keep your feet locked the right away, it will literally fold up while you are in the middle of a staggered slow wheelie.

Re: Locking out your Back Footpeg?
It makes sense, when you slow your **** down and bring it back, if your left foot doesnt have constant pressure it can fold "back", just like if you were two wheels down it would fold "up", i cant believe more people havnt felt that little give before
