Tyger shark and my stay and you wont have any problems, running that combo most of this season and I havent broken anything in a long time...Well I just cracked a Tygershark slider last night but it was a huge pancake and thats all that broke...The TS for 03/04 doesnt want to roll over like the 05/06.

 

ya i have a TS for my 05 and on the left side the aluminum mount that holding it cracked soo.................... SI or TS ????????

 

BTW wat mufler is that cuz the stock one always gave me problems and urs looks nicely tucked in????

 

Ive never tried an SI before the TS I had MXD and all I can say is I dont think any cage that goes under the bike will ever be as good as the TS...This cage will not shift at all! I doubt you could drop it harder then I did last night on the left side. And the only thing that broke was the slider, the bike pancaked so hard the slider broke and shot out like 50 feet and hit my buddy accross the lot.The bike bounced back on its wheel and keep going....LOL

I hear the sliders arent cheap but I know for a fact that the MXD would have shifted heavy with that kind of drop, the TS broke a slider but nothing else broke and the cage didnt move...

I know I wont be buying anything else for my bikes.....Except maybe the 05/06 becasuse it does want to roll onto the tail on that bike...

 

I have an SI on my 05-06 and it rolls onto the tank and tail fairing too. I don't think there is a way around this on these bikes?

 

Its custom, I made it out of a 06 GSXR Akropovic slip on and some other piping...You cant **** it up where I put it:YEAH

 

That sucks, the tails are made out of some **** plastic too....They dont crack nice and straight like my 03/04 tails do....They kinda shatter or break into small pieces that you cant even ziptie....Id go through way too many tails on that bike

 

Haha, I know what you mean all too well. I crash a lot and there is nothing left of my tail, and this is my second. I was thinking about reinforcing my next tail with fiberglass on the backside, .

I actually just got done building a subcage with pegs that don't fold up. That will probably do the trick, but a little dangerous when it comes to flipping endos.

 

I got a SI on mine.. came with a TS and it bent really easily.. maybe it was just my experiance?.?.?.

My boy had a SI on his and has put it through just about everything.. had a thread on it last week.. even hit a firehydrant.. broken one peg.. not even the stock rearset.. and thats no sliders.. don't get me wrong after his year of learning the cage was mangled, but bike was pimp..

I got sliders and never really have a problem with it rolling up. Never broken a thing on the bike other than the headlight from this crappy 905 stay... Johnny P I need the hook up!!! lol
Other than that I got Si round bar, Si subcage with solid pegs, stock rearset, slightly cut pegs, 55r -1 front.
It is too much gear but it's what it came with and I've started to like it.. hardly even touch the HB..

I ran both SI and the tygershark on my bike. I'm really likin the TS a lot more than my SI cage. It's not as protective towards the controls, sometimes hits the clip on and bends it back so I have to loosen it and put it back into place. Other than that.. solid cage, never moves, never bends, dropped my **** more than I can count and it still looks well.. like it always has. The spring loaded sliders help a lot when slamming the bike down, especially from HC O's.

Gearing, I've got 55 up in the rear. It's perfect for everything except sitdown and tank trick circles... a lot of clutch work involved... other than that.. I'm not complaining at all.

You'll love the johnnyP stunt stay. I have one.

 

i have an fi on my 03 636 an i have broken 1 x engine mount and gone through countless eng cases on both sides... i have a near new 03 636 and ordered SI everything.... cant wait to bin fast O's without the oil appearing fear... yeah

ps my friend runs SI and he reg throws it down there is never a scratch on the rest o the bike... Hey Durt why go back i was thinkiing you must have gotten used the the 05! i always remebered you hated the 05 when you first got it?

When i met Joe Dryden at the uk SBF he told me the 03-04 was a better balanced stuntbike!!

 

had a 55 on my old one and never used the clutch on sit downs or anything else really and it never stalled!!!

 

I find the 05/06 very smooth and pulls strong, but comming from the 03/04 I found it to be very cramped..And harder to mover around on the bike, Im working on SS and off the peg combs and I just cant seem to find the pegs and move around as easy...

Anyone else that has had both find the same?

 

i ride tony prez' 05 once in a while and i think it is ten times the bike the 03 04 is......
