Crashed Coaster, just released from hospital
Friday 11/02/2007 I took off from Phoenix and headed to LA for the weekend. I obviously brought my bike with me. Saturday night I was riding at the Ontario spot with Mikey D, Oliver, Scott and some friends. I was just doing a pretty basic trick that had been done before. I was doing a sit down coaster when I could feel I was loosing break pressure.
Well I don't really have a 12-bar just a round sub frame saver. My bike started to scrape at 1:O-clock I lost control of the bike and tyger shark cage landed on my ankle and I went sliding to a stop. Not exactly sure what happened to my bike, have not seen the bike yet.
Oliver was the first on scene and then everybody came over to see what was cracking. I remember seeing blood pour out of my ankle, my white shoes were no longer white but a red color and I was in a lot of pain. Everybody helped me up and got me into my truck and Scotts friend Kyle drove me to the hospital.
I went in to a 3 hour surgery around 2am at the hospital. I had 5 different bones break in my ankle. All 4 of my toes except the big toe broke. Not the toes exactly but the bones running up to them in my foot. I have 4 pins running through my foot at the top of my toes. I have a couple of titanium pins holding other bones together. I was finally released out of the hospital on Thursday 11/08/07. I am back up in the Bay Area right now trying to recuperate, I'm pretty much in mobile, foot has to stay elevated 24/7.
Mikey D says there is a dent on the upper part of my Tyger Shark cage, im guessing from my foot

let that thing heal up man feet are a very abused body part and if you don't do what the doctor tells you to do it will only take longer to heal
trust me on this i had a minor brake nothing like yours but i walked on it before it was healed and it took years to heal fully....

sucks to hear! heal up quick. i can't think of any more helpful advice but to stay positive and just chill and let it heal! nows a great time to get a magazine subscription!
