Re: i was going to do the idle mod to my 929...
today i wanted to do the idle mod on my 929 (900rr cable at the throttle stop) but the freakin cable was too short!
i searched lots of threads but i didnt found what year 900rr cable i needed, so i ordered one of the 1999 model...
does anybody knows what year 900rr cable is the longest or is there some idle cable from a different honda that will be long enough?
btw: today i also did the clean air mod like dscamry described for the F4i, its the exact same thing on the 929, i didnt had a chance to take it for a test drive but when you start it up and turn up the stock idle you actually hear it pull harder, i'm not shure but i think it rocks!:YEAH

600rr cable is the most expensive, AND needs cut..
900rr cable is $12 from the dealer, and Idk where your trying to route it, but they are plenty long to come out under the left OR right side of the tank..
I've heard about f2 and f3 cables being cheap, and being longer, but the 900rr cable is plenty long
anything longer and you got a huge idle cable hanging out in mid air
