lean in and forward as much as possible

Re: How do you Drift?
so basically lean forward skid lean and pop the clutch like doing a wheelie...its that easy? what if the wheelie catches and i do a wheelie leaning over..that wont be good. is it better if i practice in the rain or would i just slip right out??

Re: How do you Drift?
All you have to do is come in on the brake, Start leaning in for the drift, then lean the bike over until you think you're going to fall, then lean a little more and give it gas. If it starts to high side give more gas, or slide the back tire with BRAKE and lean more.

Re: How do you Drift?
Clem those are some nasty drifts bro. I too drift on concrete, it's soooo much easier and the highside/wheelie factor goes WAY down.
How I do it? brake and slide it in.. get it REAL low, basically almost or to the point where your toe is touching the ground, and just dump the clutch and gas it. When you're that leaned over it'll slide like butter and won't buck the bike at all. Don't lock up the rear to a complete stop and then dump the clutch.. you have to carry a little bit of speed to keep the sliding momentum going... remember the almighty countersteer.
