i got a 07 r6s and was wondering if it can handle the abuse of ridin on one wheel all time time or hold up in crashes? i can balence wheelies but want to start doing slow stuff and 12's and **** like that? i have really seen any pro riders rocking them just wondering what everyone thoughts were?
also anybody got a crash cage or handbreak setup on one with pics?

you cant put a handbrake on the r6s cuz the hyrocilator is in the way and no one makes a relocater for it. you might be able to fab one up or talk to old man rodger, hes real smart he might be able to move it for ya.

 

hey i stunted a 06 r6, absolutly it will not hold up in a crash, that is a race bike period, light weight and fragile as hell. good for endoes but not anything else, electronic throttle is twitchy, no idle screw i had to fab one up, and the subframe is like pop metal. go to my myspace page and check out my pics from its first little crash. you will be suprised how weak it is..www.myspace.com\sicktrickrick

its def not impossible to hook up a hb on da 6's

 

there frames are real weak...they cant take hard falls.

that is not an '07.
its an 03-05.
and plenty of people use r6's.

 

yes it is a 2007......look on yamahas site there is a r6r and a r6s. mine is a 07 and is the same as my boys 03

well if its the exact same as the 03's, it'll do fine. my bike has done cartwheels before, and smashed into/onto more things than most would imagine. never had a problem ?

 

yeah i said the same thing when i was first looking at it in the showroom....i walked in and was like wtf you still have a 05??? nope 07 and nothings changed

I haven't been stunting long enough to have credible pics, but ppl stunt r6's. None of these bikes were meant for stunting, so just throw that comment in the trash. You can stunt whatever you want it just may take more or less work to get it in condition. Yea its true that 636s rr's and f4is are the favs. But a R6 will work. The fairing stay has to go and your gonna have to brace your subframe, other than that your gonna be ok. Here in a few weeks me and my dad are gonna weld up a steel subframe and stay for my bike.


And you definitely CAN put a hb on a r6......
