Re: How To Get Your Own "STUNTCARD" Made.
Is this D? If so PM me. I have had a stunt card since they came out and I have to say people love that ****. I give them away every chance I get, it's perfect for kids. I don't compete and I do some shows but I think it's perfect for the guy who is trying to make his living at this. And I do know a few people who do this full time and make a pretty good living at it

Re: How To Get Your Own "STUNTCARD" Made.
I see both sides... and think of it like this...
we'll stick with basketball since its been a theme in this thread...
Stuntriding community is the same as the b-ball community... there are pros that make $$ and people trying to make $$$... same thing in b-ball... do you think top college players are doing it without thinking that maybe they could make their career doing it?!?!
Then there are the people that do it for fun... for the "hobby"... just like the people that go to the local court or gym to play b-ball for fun and for a workout... do you think these people are thinkin.. "hey, if i play here and get good enough on this court maybe the NBA will hear about me and ill make my career playing ball"????? NO, they simply do it for fun...
Stuntriding is the same way... if you want to try to make it as a pro, fine, good luck!
BUT, if you look at it as a hobby and just want to have fun, FINE, do so, but dont be mad at those trying to push towards professionalism...
CHOOSE your place in the "stunt community" and be happy...
Hope that made sense...

I still give my card out periodically.
I think it's a novel way for people to know about the sport.
Dialog: Q:"What did you do before you do what you do now"
A: I was a stunt rider
Q: wtf is that
A: here's a card... now leave me alone keep the card... it's worth more than the darius one
Q: what's a darius?

Re: How To Get Your Own "STUNTCARD" Made.
ya man, send it over!
mike, i wouldn't really call it a rise...it was late last night and i'm in cali, so its kinda difficult to get a rise out of me in that condition!
i just feel the need sometimes to speak from the other perspective since there are so many people of your perspective. kinda like when i everysooften post on a FI crash cage thread...really its just to try to even out the hateraid.
no worries, my riding career will go as long as i want it to go.
and the $$ thing, its early in the game right now for hte sport and its also VERY early in the game business wise for me. kane does very well for himself and i've lived in NH for the past 8 years and all i cared about was winning, i did nothing more than ride, no business...and thats my bad. for the first time in my life, $ is actually a motivator; and i've never really had any, so to me, i'm doing very well. and if i reach my goal this year, that's a lot of money for less than 30 weekends of 'work'...can't make that amount doing that 'little' very many other places.
as for my attitude, you are all certainly correct. however that egotistical attitude was on purpose...i forgot why. i have changed. i bet if you saw what i saw in this sport then your attitude would change too. i've also given up a lot personally to try and make this happen for me, so i definately have an edge to me. and while my ego is a direct result of my confidence in myself, it def can get out of hand and taken the wrong way. i use it to motivate myself. i get scared that i wont win and back up my words so it forces me to practice harder even when i dont want to.
stuntlife used to be different..used to actually be a community of riders hel;ping each other out, so i guess i've succumbed to the new SL attitude of hate on everyone...just trying to fit in!
i assure you that i still do a lot for the sport, for the community, for my fellow riders, etc. ask any who know me. hell, i give more than half of my free tires from my sponsor away to local riders in my area. but, i do conceid (sp) that point and will definately try to improve my attitude and return the 'teach' of earlier days...and honestly (getting personal for you here) i've known that about myself for a while now and it has carried over into my personal life...but you'd have to walk in my shoes to get it. so i'll curb the ego, tone it down to confidence, and be a nicer person...its been on my todo list for a minute!
t neck: t minus two months till i see your *** in florida...get that helmet with my name on the back will ya!
