929 vs r6

well i found to bikes both of them are 6g the 929 is a 01 with 20k on it and the r6 is an 06 with 4 thousand miles on it. the r6 sounds like a better deal but umm i dunno i really like 929's what is everyone oppinion.

Re: 929 vs r6

6 Grand is way to much for a 929 with that many miles. I'd look for a cheaper 9 duece.

Re: 929 vs r6

I don't even have to do research on this one to determine which is the better deal. I would pick honda over yamaha anyday, BUT 6k is to much for that 929. I recommend talking the guy down on the honda, any smart seller prices vehicles a little high because they know people will try to talk them down. Here are some kbb retail prices

R6- http://www.kbb.com/kbb/OtherVehicles...il&YearId=2006

929rr- http://www.kbb.com/kbb/OtherVehicles...il&YearId=2001

Obviously the r6 is a better deal, but i would try to find a gsxr 6 or cbr 6 over that yami

Re: 929 vs r6

find a cheaper 929, dont go with the r6... i have an 06, and if you plan on stunting it its not the best... idle is a bitch to turn up you gotta custom fab **** into your throttle bodies and its a real pain in the *** and it runs like **** when you do adjust it cuz of the Fly by wire throttle system..

but if you want a bike just for looks go with the r6, thing is a chick magnet and its a beautiful bike and light as a feather and loves to be flicked around... pretty fast too topped mine out at like 174 they say the topspeed is 166 fixed speedo but yeah

Re: 929 vs r6

How is that BS?? Running from the cops is very very easy, the ***** dont come in on the running part, they come in on the whether you should or shouldnt part...but once you do its easy. Cops cannot keep up...i dont see how thats hard to believe
