looking for a rider for Daytona Bike Week '08
looking for someone to do a short stunt show in the Ducati Day Daytona complex upcoming Bike Week.
You have to be riding a Ducati, I'm working on getting one for the rider, but if you happen to be on one now would be a great.
Please PM me here to send resume or for further information.

I'm assuming that that modifications to the bike to allow it to be stunted on will also be provided?

Re: looking for a rider for Daytona Bike Week '08
thanks for all the PM's guys, I forwarded all to Vicky, head of DNA clubs.
My next question is the amount of area needed and the surface. We couldn't pull it off last year because something about the holes on the concrete for the tents. I walked around last year and wasn't sure what they were talking about. All the holes were covered.
are there any other concerns I need to be aware of? If I can provide a bike, I would need some technical details, I know some have mentioned hand brake, obviously a larger sprocket, but what size and what size bike is needed? It will be a Monster model base...
keep the pm's coming, this is going to be a great event. The point is to draw a crowd, so they have a chance to check out the bikes afterward. Thanks for all the help,

you should really quit posting all of this on a public forum which has some pros on it but also has plenty of dummies on it..
get in touch with the 1 and only rider that ducati north america will recommend and then ask that rider about his specific requirements

Ducati D.O.C. Liaison put me in charge of this. I'm new to the stunt world but not new to putting on events.

Different riders have different requirements..
But hey.. What do I know...I'm just another schmuck on a forum
Good luck

Re: looking for a rider for Daytona Bike Week '08
It's apparent that you are new to the stunt world, because you are arguing with a person that knows everything you would want to know about hosting the type of event you are trying to do.

Is there money involved and would the bike you provide have the parts needed to stunt it? That would depend on the size area as far as some of the stunts.
Also another question. Would the travel be paid for?
That is if im not to late.

There are around 10 people or less in the US that could handle this the way you want. Professionals with a show format set for one rider, who're adaptable to a new bike in a show format. You should really contact Thomas as he'll know a rider. Or like you said, if you have the Ducati US riders contact go through him he should be able to recommend someone.
