whiplash600

I have an 05 GSXR 600 that i'm getting ready to beat the tank in and I noticed a copper line inside the tank that runs from the base of the tank to the top. (maybe return line, i'm not sure) Anyways it is spot welded and i'm thinkin' when I get to start hammering down my tank this line could kink and cause a problem with my fuel system or something else. Does anybody have any info on this or what I should do? Thanks for all your help in advance.
