loose chain

my chain keeps getting loose from clutch-ups so i'm thinkin about goin back to pow power wheelies, whats so bad about 'em?

....i kid i kid

but ya, my chain DOES get loose very often, at this point, i'd have to get a new chain every 1-2 months depending on how much i practice...is this normal?....i also noticed a kink in it tonight.

i'm stock sprockets....sooo....is this one reason on why ppl get big sprockets? or would ur chain get loose just as often even then?

Re: loose chain

chains always stretch.... kinks are usually due to lack of lube, the quality of chain plays a role too. I run RK's and don't have problems.... I've only replaced maybe 4 since i bought it in 04, and that was due to sprocket changes.....

Re: loose chain

I run a RK X-ring chain. Put it on 2 years ago and never had to adjust it.

Re: loose chain

rk xring is the way to go. Also make sure you got the right amount of slack in your chain, my cousin stretched his chain when he had very little slack on his bike.

Re: loose chain

parts411.com has the best deals I have seen. The only downside is that it takes around a week to get it.

Or you can pay a little more and order one from HAI. They ship super quick, and it will be to you in a couple days
