Re: Need an honest opinion

I would go with the Busa and start customizing it they are good handling and comfortable to ride especially doubled up, but the gixxer 1000 is a sweat bike the 1000rr is coming out in 2 months I would wait and take a look in person before you decide

me I stick to the 600s and always Honda

imo, busa are ugly the only reason to have a busa is to turbo it & go fast.

Re: Need an honest opinion

im not a suzuki fan ,but i would def. get the 1000 over the busa. the 1000 has almost as much power, and is a lot lighter. if you have good riding skills you can whip a busa on any liter bike! not to mention you still have the option to wheelie, and carve the cannons on the 1000.

Re: Need an honest opinion

yea it just looks awkward to see a busa wheelie down the highway, kinda looks like a couch doing a wheelie imo.

Re: Need an honest opinion

why would you want a busa??

besides the fact the thing weighs 5 times as much as you... its more of a sport touring bike... straight lines is all its good for... and its like driving a boat when you ride one, they are huge

like they said get a liter or **** get another 600

600 are the best all round, light, flickable, enough power to go over 150 and why do you need more then that? pro ama 600 riders only run about 2-3 seconds behind 1000cc depending on the track

2-3 second is a lot when it comes to racing. but i do agree with you on everything else you said.

oh yeah i know, but for an average normal street rider... you can ride a 600 more to its potential then a 1000

Re: Need an honest opinion

I have a 03 1k. my buddy has a busa. i can ****** smoke him as long as its a regular road with regular curves and not just a straight away. then I can come out of the corners in front of him and rock a ****** stand up all the way down the straight away. doesn't matter if he passes me then..... i already got em! the 1k is a LOT more nimble than the busa. u can't steer the ****** things like the 1k. but seriously, i've had a couple of 600's and 750's and a couple of older 1k's. if you haven't been riding for a long time you might wanna think long. the bike's ****** retarded and you can be in trouble b4 you know it. good luck. be safe.

Re: Need an honest opinion

take that busa crap out of here. this is stunt discussion. go find www.busagaylove.com or something and ask them.

also, why are you wanting something with a 240 kit on it if you are just going to cruise? you do realize that a wide rear tire is for drag racing and makes a bike handle like crap when riding it right? pssshhh...rookies

I think you could handle it. A friend of mine let me ride '07, i'll admit, i was a little scared, but its smoother then my bike in everyway, and felt lighter. if you wanna do 200+ miles a day its not a bad bike

btw, i'm 5'11 and 125lbs

that's cause you are going from a 1990 katana to a new bike. ANY new bike will be smoother and lighter than yours. that is a 500+lb bike that steers like a donkey.
