600rr upper

I always ran without an upper on my 06 600rr.

I am running full fairing now and I know you have to trim your upper to push the clipons out or run DB bars.

Where are you guys cutting because there is barley anything to trim before your actually going to have to cut the fairings stay.

Search is broke so couldnt find anything really.

Re: 600rr upper

Well I know where it binds.. I trimmed all the way to the fairing stay. It works but is really close dont have any room for my fingers at all when at full turn on the clutch or front brake lever.

Re: 600rr upper

I figured so on hitting the fingers. I guess to really make it work good is to get a aftermarket fairing stay.

I don't have any real good pics of my upper and how it's cut but if you check out www.myspace.com/frankpbr there are a few...

I run protaper univ low bars, naarden upper stay custom...I had to trim between 1 - 3.5 inches did not have to touch the stay and with after market clip ons or db bars you will not hit your fingers...just make the minor dremell mods.

FF is the way to go!!!
