f4i problems please help

I know posting in discussion will **** some off but I already posted in the help section and got limited response.

My buddies f4i is not running. All we did is take off the front portion of the
wiring harness removing the headlight plugs and soo on. I jumped the bank angle wires at the main harness and now it won't start. It won't even turn over. The fuel cut relay keeps clicking repeatedly. If I take the jumper out of the harness then the engine stop relay clicks just like if you unplug the bank angle sensor.

I'm lost now!! The fuel pump checks out good, The fuel cut relay tested good, The engine stop relay is good. The only thing that I noticed is that the voltage coming from the main harness to the fuel pump is only around 6 volts?? Is that enough??

I even hooked the front section of the wiring harness back up and still does the same thing!!!

any ideas?? I really need this bike done so we can go hit it up.

make sure your batt. is good, f4i's are finiky about having a good battery.
also there is a security feature in the key cylinder, a little diode or resistor that sends a signal to the computer via a little pink wire coming from the ign. cylinder if the wrong wires touched any ground while removing the wiring harness the diode or resistor may have fried. you can take the ign. apart and test the diode if it's bad you can try to find it's value (I called alot of different shops with no luck)and replace it or, buy a new ign. that's all I can really think of without checking it out myself.

My F4i had a weird battery problem. it would die and charge itself back up and die and charge itself back up. I heard that clicking sound also. It just fixed itself though lol.

The key switch hasn't been messed with. I would think it is ok. I am going to try a diff battery. It shows to be good but I am running out of ideas

Yo i had a 929 that had the same problem, I couldn't figure it out for a week.
I started biding on harnesses on ebay. my buddie said lets try buying a battery. Sure enough thats all it was. Just change the battery first!!
