anyone rockin a thumb throttle?

Just curious how many people have switched from the twist throttle over to a thumb throttle. I remember a tread about this along time ago, but i couldn't find it in a search. This is something that i have been thinking about doing. If you have any pics of this post them up! and tell me what kind of housing your using. I'm thinking of trying mine off of my yamaha Warrior lol.

Re: anyone rockin a thumb throttle?

I hear a pro rocks it (dunno his name..)

But theres reasons thumb throttles are on quads and not bikes..

The reason they are on quads, is so when you take a turn, you don't hit the throttle.. Since on a quad you gotta crank the bars, you don't just lean..

On a bike you got a twist throttle so you can HANG ON... If you have a thumb throttle you lose a lot of grip on your right hand..

grab a metal bar, don't use thumbs on either hand.. HAve your friend grab that metal bar using his whole hand.. Now see who can yank it out of whos hands... taaaduuuhh, keepnig your thumbs on increases your grip 10 fold

Re: anyone rockin a thumb throttle?

Yea the thread was brought up recently.

I've never tried it. but I would..

I think it might eliminate when you come down from something.. and pin the throttle.. how many times have ya'll done it.. I got a itchy clutch finger because of mine. havent had any serious accidents or any at all.

But its always the "what if factor"

Yup.

Bill kills the thumb throttle but it means that you don't have a return throttle cable - you have to run a single line to the throttle boddies.
