Second... he does not have a bad jig... the subcage is supposed to be tight as **** to get on... but if you have some ******* brains you will figure out that if you get one side on and have someone else pull/push, it'll slide on...

I highly doubt it's off by a 1/2in... but if it really is then let him know (leave a voice mail :rolleyes), and he will make it right. Do you really think that he's got a jig that's off by a 1/2in and NOBODY elses has been on here complaining about it?

Don't come cryin on here cause your too ******* stupid to get it on your bike w/ out instructions..... nobody cares.

Idiot

Well, that's why most people don't stunt a mint bike.

Re: my ******* sick innovations piece of **** subframe cage

hey calm down dude. it will fit.

what happens is that when the cross brace gets welded, and the weld cool down, the tabs will pull slightly closer together. this is fine.

just get the one tab sitting on the subframe tabs on one side, and the other side close to the tabs. then as you are lifting the subframe up, use a flat pry bar to open the tabs a little wider. it will slide on - guaranteed. might help to have another person assist.

don't cut or grind any tabs because... a) you don't need too. b) you might void your SI warranty

they're made in a jig so they will fit

(i have no affiliation with SI - i just have an SI subcage)

Re: my ******* sick innovations piece of **** subframe cage

Could be misfabricated as you seen the tabs different in a picture..

Or for a different year bike..

Chill out.. Go talk to a welder. Put some time into it.. Use your head.

I'd make it fit.. !!

ok i have an idea .......two peices of threaded rod long enough to go from one side to the other [through the mounting holes] use two nuts and two washers on each peice of threaded rod to spread the mounting tabs apart

Re: my ******* sick innovations piece of **** subframe cage

Ok. for starters. They arent BMX pegs. We make them on our lathe from solid aluminum. 2. Call the shop line between business hours. ( the number on the site) I will not answer my cell number. 3. We rarely return calls due to the call volume every day. Just call back the next day when we open. 4.. The jig is not off. We have sold many and you are the 1st to mention this. This subcage is for the dual seat f4i subframe, not the bananna seat. That may be your problem. Questions can be answered. All you have to do is ask. You may want to listen to others before flaming us on here. What enjoyment did you get from this thread? I dont understand internet gangstas at all. We do everything we can to get orders out in a timely fashion and to keep customers happy.

ya, then how are you going to slide it up onto the subframe when ya have a rod in the mounting holes??

Its a good idea, but the rod will be in the way. You won't be able to get it out of the holes, or its going to shoot out.

Get one side on, and slide the other side on with a large flat screwdriver, or pry bar.
