Re: the next level...
No matter how "mainstream" stunting becomes, it will always be illegal on the streets and we'll always have problems finding a place to stunt. now all this does is bring more squids into the picture and open up the eyes to the public. that person that owns the lot you ride in, well maybe they saw you before and thought nothing of it and let you ride there because they didn't care, then one day they saw on espn someone doing this crazy stuff and someone has an accident and gets tore up.....they then start thinking about their insurance rates if the "boys" that are just playing around had that accident on their property. next thing you know they've gotten super **** with you and don't want you around the lots.
i see it backfiring quite a bit, it's always going to be illegal, now just with more squids causing accidents trying to be a big time stunter in 1 month....which increases the anger level of hte community and police to crack down.
that being said, it's a double edged sword because i would love to just turn the tube on and watch stuntriding on espn or nbc or whatnot....

Re: the next level...
ya, i hate to say it but i wanted it out there cause i know someone else is thinking it.
going mainstream is a double edged sword.
skateboarding is a good example. before it went mainstream, ya, the kids got shooed off property, but nobody really thought about it. now that it's mainstream it seems like now every kid skateboards and they do it everwhere.....which now instead of a couple kids, is a lot of kids and that angers businesses because they destroy the property. now you don't just get told to leave when skateboarding, you get arrested for it. my dad's office was that way, there were a couple kids skateboarding on his entrance, no biggy, then all of a sudden there were like 15-20 of them and they completely destroyed his tile entrance and walkways in a matter of a month. you think he likes skateboarders when they destroyed 5 grand in tile on the front of his building? no.
