If i went to jail in a 3rd world country
Would that kinda stuff be on my record here? How would I even go about finding out if infact I have some sort of global 'criminal record'?

You don't have anything. Unless you are a fugitive from justice in another country and they are actively seeking you (like through Interpol) then you have nothing to worry about.

I'm trying to join the Coast Guard and want to know if this is going to come up at all.

they won't know about it unless you tell them. just never tell them ever, they will ask you the same question like a million times and you don't know how many retards i've seen that write down they smoke weed and stuff... same kind of thing, trust me i was a marine for 4 years.

Really? Interpol seems to be the only entity that would connect said country and the US government, and to my understanding misdameanors don't go on INTERPOL's database.

no it wont come up i know ppl who have been arrested on mexico when we go drink and it never comes up unless u were held there and ur congressman had to get u out

The military need so many people I'm sure you won't have problems.

I know 3 people who joind the army or airforce reserves last year. Signed for 1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year.
Well they all got activated and are going to war. My stepbrother was one of them. he leaves in january.
