Re: who else does better with some time off

holy **** man you read my mind...I was getting burnt out from riding stunt or dirt everyday and then I moved and all my bikes were in storage in another state for like a month and a half...when I went to stunt next time I was on top of my game and probably the best riding I had ever done....funny how that works

Re: who else does better with some time off

yea i was just tellin my homeboi this **** the other day, i dont' think everyone works that way cause noone ever knows what i'm talkin about. they all think you been bustin ur *** when they see you rockin farther or smoother, new ****. but i'm like "naw i aint rode since we rode last time". it's like some rest time for ur brain i think.

my buddy didn't ride for 4 mo. he could only do one trick per pass, then all of a sudden, he realizes he can just string em together and was bustin out combos all night.

def. feel you on that one. +1000 for time away from the bike.

Re: who else does better with some time off

I'm a newb and even I have noticed this...

been riding 5 days a week for a few months (cause Im old , and dont have any time to waste learning this **** ) but every so often (every couple of weeks or so) my back or some other old injury acts up and keeps me from riding for 4 or 5 days.... and during those days(I'm like freaking out , thinking...damn...I'm gonna forget everything, and have to start all over again ...blah blah )

but sure enough...each time , comin' back .....i'm able to pick up where I left off...and feel some kind of refreshed or maybe strengthened (no fatigue at all ??? ) but I think i know what your talking about.

but Dude (The hate) You Flat out , straight up, kill **** ...So I kinda (definately) Dont know what you're describing ...hehehe....jumpin from what to wha' ??? I'm workin' on idle wheelies (plain ones ...I'm pitiful )

Re: who else does better with some time off

It deff works to your advantage. I took a year off, took me a couple days to get back into the swing of things. Time off isn't always a bad thing. A bad thing is when you get going again and your motor goes. Like me.

Re: who else does better with some time off

i can ride just about every day if i wanted. the problem that i have is that i get so focused on learning a stunt that i wont do anything else until i perfect it. like doing o's, i get so involved with them that i do not practice any other stunts, and then i will try a slow spreader or something and i suck at it. i need to manage my time better while practicing, so that my bag of tricks do not go to ****...

that's the thing, you will still have ur bag of tricks. you moved on tryin to lock down other ****. you just aint in the mood for slow spreaders. when you are in the mood after you take a break from em they will be the cleanest slow spreaders you have ever done. if you are anything like me.

Re: who else does better with some time off

I'm with MikeM. I have been riding 5 days a week for almost 2 years and I love it. I need to ride to stay clean. I ride like **** when I take like 4 days off.
