R1 with a F4i throttle

Re: R1 with a F4i throttle
pretty sure that the f4i's are the smallest... but it wouldn't be too hard to take a dremel to your stock one and bore the grooves out closer to the center.

fiddypimpbeing as the f4i throttle tube and any other f4i part for that matter is highly sought after, is there any other 600cc bike with a tube of the same diameter?
Its like a $20 part new from the dealer.
And ya theres a few guys here that went the dremmel route.

Re: R1 with a F4i throttle
ya, the tube might help a little, but eventually you're just going to have to learn to get better with the throttle.
if you are adding gearing you just went above and beyond the twitchiness that the stock throttle had on it. it'll be way twitchier than stock with lower gearing.
good post, i'm sure it'll help a little, but long way around it is you're still going to have to just learn to be smooth. the more you try to adjust the bike to make it smooth the more it garbages up your riding skills. just a thought.

Re: R1 with a F4i throttle
i put it like this.... i have been rockin my R6 for a while now, and never seemed to have a problem with the throttle.
i actually like the response, and it helps in small corrections on idle, and rockin smooth slow wheelies.
why would you want anything different??? and if it is so damn hard to deal with, whynot just learn on this, and then when you get BETTER, change the tube and be super killin it!?

i think that was you in another thread saying 74teeth?
i know your not going to listen or whatever but a +29 rear sprocket (45stock) is probably going to get you hurt more than help you learn.
