i don't think it will.

the f4i motor mounts the swingarm to the rear of the motor, the f3 swingarm is straight to the frame.

so basically the frame will be so modified you might as well just use an f4i frame. you're going to have to use the f4i swingarm for sure and cut the f3 frame all to pieces.

 

That would be the first F3 I've seen with that. Would need alot of fab work. I've heard of 900RRs in F3's never F4i's though.

 

im buildin a 95 f3 frame with 01 f4i motor with 929rr tank haha doesnt look like much but its light as ****. still workin on gettin my relays and plumbing but everythings mounted. if you want pics ill take some when it comes back from gettin my f3 header modified to fit. a lot of fab work and cutting but wasnt too bad.

well it was the first bike i bought for 1k to find out the motor was blown, my buddy had the f4i motor sittin for a few years and he sold it to me cheap. i didnt even know how to ride then so i figured ill make something different that i wont give a **** about. heh and its something new to my crazy project collection. im also rebuilding that f3 motor and puttin a stock wrx turbo on it to put in a shifter kart :YEAH . after the header is fitted im welding in a cage since i notched the frame and reinforcing the subframe and rear pegs. after that its all bullshit wiring and plumbing.

haha no way im goin ff, f3 fairings dont even come close to mounting up so i tossed em in the trash, its gonna look just like that except for some mesh ima put inbetween the tank and frame. so id like to do db bars is the conversion kit from hai pretty good or should i get it from somewhere else?

but for my f4i, I just bought some bar risers for $50 and bolted them to the triple, and got some ebay special bars for $40 lol

All my cables reached, I just had to reroute the clutch and throttle cables

 

why 929 tank? f4i would fit better and maybe rest on the frame like it's suppose to.

also, how did you managed to get all the rear suspension linkage to work with the f4i motor? the rear mounts on f3 and f4i are completely different.

i got the tank for 50 bucks so i said **** it ill rock it and make it look better at the end, i aint payin 200 bucks for a better lookin tank. to make the back fit i cut out all the casting for the original motor mounts on the f4i block, lil grinding and some plasma cutting and there she sits . and i would go with anything for the front as long as it works . my buddy said he's got some f4i forks will those work with the f3 frame?
