suzuki frame failures

I have a 06 gsxr 750 and i have been told that the frames break often on this bike. I have seen it on 05 1000s but not on the 750 does any know if this is true, if so is there any way to brace the frame so it does not happen.

Re: suzuki frame failures

The older gixxers had really weak frames. I think there better on the newer but still not a F4i. And the subframes on them are very weak.

You can't.
Gotta take your chances or buy a stuntbike. Theres things you can do to beef up the subframe but not the frame.

Re: suzuki frame failures

I'd use the search BUT IT DOESN'T ****** WORK
The other thread had some guy saying that suzuki was notified and were fixing the problem, all bike sold after Feb. or something didn't have the problem.
I'm not sure what they were doing about the other ones sold.

Re: suzuki frame failures

I remember the thread had a picture of a bike that came down from a wheelie and the frame snapped. I can't find it though. Anyone got it?

Dude, I've slammed the bike down so many times learning my rear brake and playin with small coasters trying to mess with the clutch and HB and ****. I hope my bike is fine, it seems to be so far....

I know how to set down wheelies, but I think that when the bike falls out of gear, or I knock it out with my toe, or just mousetrappin anytime while learning doesn't make you a squid. I see all kinds of dudes stall out on idle and **** at the lots and slam the front end down, and I wouldn't consider them all squids. We all gotta learn somehow, hopefullly it's just not to the tune of a broken frame. Sounds like Susucky is admitting they are faulty.

I want proof of the dudes post about all the bikes built after Feb.......
I can't believe that they wouldn't have sent letters out to all of their customers with the bad frames. If this is true and mine breaks, I'll sue their *** off. If I get hurt also, they are going to pay me so big.

I'm not as worried about my frame as I am the sub-frame. I wish scrapeworks was up to date too!! Get off you *** Old man roger!! J/K
this part is so weak that the formula extreme guys aren't even using them on the race bikes...

How about this...... To anyone with an 06 gix that lives in Fla. lend your bike for a day or two to Old man roger please!! I think that all of us with a gix-a-six that want one of these sub-cages from Rog, should pitch in a few bucks extra for our cages to buy one for whoever donates the bike to him for a template.

Even if there isn't enough of us that would get them one for free, at least it would be a lil $$ off.... I'd do an extra 20-25 bucks.
Anyone else?
