Might as well replace the thermostat. The last cheap thing is to have your rad tested at a shop to ensure it works right. Other then that your down to your head gasket or water pump.

Follow the rad line to the block. You will find were it is.

the thermostat is under the throttle bodies. you gotta take the tank, airbox, and throttlebodies off to get to it. i just did mine about a month ago.

easiest way to change a head gasket is to drop the motor out. it's a pain to get the head out without taking the motor out.

gasket....it's an aluminum crush gasket.

rvt won't hold on that, you're looking at 150-180psi on each of those cylinders.

it's not a hard change, it's just a PITA to do, remove all the stuff off hte motor, put a floor jack under it and unbolt the motor, drop it down, remove the valve cover, cams, unbolt the head and such, change the gasket, torque it all down properly and reverse order.

make sure you have a good torque wrench and do it in order. if you don't torque them equally and in the proper sequence it will cause the gasket not to seal properly. while you're in there, check the cylinder wear. also probably would be a good idea to check valve wear too. if you're gonna drop the cash adn time to change the gasket, might as well freshen up the motor for a little extra cash too.
