Re: Thumb throttle where to get the parts

take one off of a four wheeler
could just try something to see if it works instead of paying a lot on aftermarket parts and not being creative.

Re: Thumb throttle where to get the parts

Just get one for any quad and measure the cables. I dont know if a thumb throttle has 2 cables though

Oh, in that case Bill D runs it. I'm thinking about it just because it'll give you more grip with your right hand and then I can start doing one handed wheelies.

thumb throttle on a bike?

First thing I did to my quad was put a twist throttle on it

More grip?

How can you hang on better without your thumb, then with your thumb?

When you do a pull up, do you let your thumbs dangle? Or do you grab on with the thumb so you can hang on?

i'd think that a throttle tube would be more controllable

Re: Thumb throttle where to get the parts

i was on a three wheeler the other day, and it seemed pretty easy to operate, but then again it was a little 1 cylinder POS, and i'm assuming as soon as u get a bigger motor under u, the thumb throttle is much harder to use as opposed to a throttle tube

your throttle cables are prob just binding. mine did that outta no where, and i had to re-route them all funky for it to finally snap back. try throwin some WD down the cable shaft, too, might help

Re: Thumb throttle where to get the parts

On a quad you have only one tiny spring holding the trrottle back and one carb or throttle body on a bike you have 4 so it is mouch harder. Your had has more power than your thumb
my roomate tried to do this stupid *** conversion and took it off after about five minutes of it in the garage.
