Im consiering a trade to get rid of my gixxer.. Its garbage.. The idle sucks *** on it but it is fuel injected...

a guy offered to trade his f4 for my gixxer... What you guys think? F4 better stunt bikes then my 01 gixxer?

My gixxer has the worst idle ever.. Can only ride idle for 3 secs then the idle dies down 1000 rpms and comes back up 1000 when i give it throttle...

im really considering the trade but then i would have to dump money into the f4 to stunt it.. Would need a cage sprockets 12 bar and a new mount kit for my gpr.. So if i traded id have to spend an extra 700-1000 to set the f4 up... Is it worth the hassle?

so an f4 wouldnt be an improvement from my gixxer? The guy has 2 f4s... One is covered in fur and he only wants 1500 for it... I might trade a couple parts and cash for it.. The other ones mint.. Hmm.. Illtalk 2 him 2morrow.. Driving down to get a rear handbrake setup tomorow

I dunno, E-dub KILLS an f3, and a local guy is insane on an F2, so an F4 shouldnt be too bad. Ride it and find out if you like it or not is the best answer i think.

yeah thats the reason i am thinkin about it... The guy only wants 1500 for the f4 covered in fur so im gonna ask him if he will take 500 cash nd a couple bike parts that are worth 800-1000

my idle is killing me on my bike... Every time i start a circle at idle i can make half a rotation then my idle dies and i have to make throttle adjustmens which pulls me out of the circle.. Its really frustrating

if you think the idle on your fuel injected gsxr is **** I would love to see you on a non FI bike...

change the plugs and do some throttle body maintenance on that gsxr.. cost $100

f4 is an awesome bike... i just remove the fuel pump and run a line from the tank to the carbs. you dont need huge gears to ride slow, i rock stock and i can do sit down no hands, ans 1/2-1 circle. i just got a -1 for the front, so we'll see soon

from what i read its the ecu that messes the idle up... Its consistent for 3 seconds and then it drops off.. No stutters in the rpm range and my engine doesnt bog or misfire so i dont think its the plugs...

i know its a common problem on 01 to 03 gixxers

ok well I will say this.. I have personally witnessed countless numbers of circles/idle tricks on the same bike

but if you wanna make a trade on a bike a lose about a grand in value more power to ya
