So since you guysare on this topic
my 05 and 03 636 both make a weird whinning sound or humming? like metal is rubbing but every 636 i ride sounds that way, i think i have heard some people say thats just how they sound?
either way, why didnt some one tell me 2 years ago that 636's are easier to stunt than f4i's
god dam! i love my 03!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: clack clack
cam chain tensioners usually get noisy at a certain rpm because of the harmonic vibration of that rpm with the tensioner. a lot of times past a certain point it'll get quiet again because the rpms of the motor will tighten the chain so it stop slapping back and forth.
cam chain might have stretched so far that the tensioner no longer holds pressure on it.

Re: clack clack
very true! i usually just rev mine to the limiter and it stops making noise but i really should just replace it. its not like its a lot of money.
