Race take offs

Race take offs
I have one on the rear of my bike right now with 25psi. The higher center makes it a pain to stay straight. I know some of you guys have used or are using these. Any ideas on what tire pressure I could run to help fix the leaning in a wheelie problem. I plan on getting a new tire, but thats not happening by this weekend.

Re: Race take offs
Race take offs are the only thing i will run.. They hook up way better then ANY street tire and when leaned over they have a mad contact patch. Do a straight burnout to flatten it out a bit but dont let air out. I run mine at 25 psi.

i get em 4 free so that's what i been running, i can't do burnouts thats the only complaint i have about em
+1 on burning down more of the center
i run mine w/ alot less psi than a normal tire to get the same feel, i see how it feels i don't know how many psi i'm running, but these are the only tires i can run damn near flat and still corner and the bitches are free! wish i could practice burnouts, oh well, i said the ******* are free right?

Re: Race take offs
Best thing you can do to find the perfect tire pressure is start at 25. If you need less, drop it to 22...less or more... Just take out or put a lil more in. Don't just set it at 20 and say I can't steer straight so I'm taking some out. Better to put at ... and give it a few hours of wheelies and then work from there. Just remember go by cold tire pressure. When the tire is warm thats alot different.
I prefered 20 on my F2 with pirelli diablos. When on my R1 with pilot powers I like around 25-27. Just don't change it dramaticly.
You want to be able to stay steady, but still steer if you need to. If your to low its gonna be hard to steer. And to high might steer to easy.

Re: Race take offs
Yea, thanks guys. I changed my take off to a harder compound tire and after a few hours at the spot got about 20psi seemed good. Road the streets still good...so we will try it from there. Thanks for the help on this.
