GPR's suck

Re: GPR's suck
the 929/954 mount is kinda iffy on the Scotts. It relys on a small notch to fit into the upper tripple groove. If the headshake is bad enough, it will strip the upper tripple or break the notch

Re: GPR's suck
mines like two weeks old ....dumped the fluid and refilled with a stiffer fluid and its still doin the same thing ......3rd gear and down ( no head shake ) but when i pin 4th and get up on BP it head shakes like hell.....

Re: GPR's suck
rotory stabilizers have slop in them. get a rod style that is nitrogen charged like ohlins or hyperpro. they have zero slop in them which makes for tighter front end....

Re: GPR's suck
and that is true eric, it could be your forks. you should bring it over and let me rebuild those forks for you to bring them back to fresh condition and it might help a lot. that stock fork oil is junk in those things.

Re: GPR's suck
The dirt model Scotts I had said Ohlins in the front. The street one, part # 1001-149, says Scotts inplace of Ohlins.

I always hear road racers talking about the longer Ohlins side mount damper. I think since it clears a larger area, smaller inputs are dampened better, no slack. But the Scotts and NEW GPR Version 4 (20 clicks) are smaller and out of the way. Better for stunts IMO. The top mount Ohlins is cool for grabbing. Its like a perfect handle but could cause hangups on step through's.

We joined forces with Ohlins Racing in 1987 and together, we developed the Premier Steering Stabilizer
