hey guys, i have a small crack on my rim, any ideas on what to use for that?

also what do i use to bend back rims that have a bent lip from looping wheelies n stuff?


also what is up with the search feature? can i get tips on how to use that thing it always says no match. i type in "stunt, crack, rim" everything i use and still the same message, no match. thanks!

just replace the rim

also the search is fucked up here and not fixed yet.

truee...thanks!! they should fix that search its really useful on a forum...lol but anyways thanks for the replyy i had a feeling i was goin to have to replace the rim i just wanted to see if there is a alternative but its to dangerous.

also..what material hammer should i use to bend back a bent lip on a rim? wooden hammer, bronze hammer etc...?

Your rims are cast aluminum.... once they bend, they usually won't bend back w/ out cracking.

I've done it but it came out REAL ugly and didn't last long b4 it started to leak from stress cracks.

If it still holds air just run it bent... if not... just get another. Which one do you need? Front or rear?

Yea... i'd say ebay is your best bet.


I have 2 spare rear rims but no fronts.

Also try posting a WTB thread (wanted to buy) at the classafides here, and at www.stuntusa.com

The buy/sell section over at stuntusa is more active than here so make sure you post there as well. Alot of times you can get **** from somone on one of the sites cheaper than ebay.

And if you were to attempt to bend a rim back usa a ruber malet. A metal one would be prolly the worse thing you could use. If your going to buy a new rim anyways you might as well try seeing how straight you can get it with a ruber mallet. Practice definatly won't hurt.

just bend it back with a rubber mallet, and use some JB weld to repair the cracks. only if you dont rip on the streets hard, thats just for parkin lot pimpin

tightttt...sounds good guys thanks for your replys, i figure i am def. going to buy a new rim, prac on the old rim bending it backand keeping it as a spare for parking lots, the bike is street legal so i ride the streets as well and im not trying to get killed cuz of my rim so.....lol
