Question Quick Question about Stunting and Parking Lots

I got a quick question about stunting in parking lots, well first of all my license got suspended for a year so I cant ride legally anymore and Im just starting to ride out my wheelies and want to get better. So if I haul my bike in a pickup truck to a parking lot or trucking warehouse to stunt and the popo roll up on me, can I still be charged with reckless, aggressive driving, driving on suspended, even though Im not on the public roads? or is it just trepassing? help is appreciated!!

Re: Quick Question about Stunting and Parking Lots

if its private property two issues come into play. first of all, a police officer him self "can not be disturbed" he has to have a complant filed by some one else in order to legally come onto that private property and give you any tickets. second private property is just that "private property" not government property not public roads. thus you dont have to have a license to stunt in the lot. but you do need permission to stunt in that lot. so they can still call the owner of the property tell them you are tresspassing and ask if they want to sign a complant. if the owner does that then the cop can arrest you and inpound your ****. thats all legally speaking

coming from personal experiance. I had the cops come start talking to us and with out us knowing the other cop called the owner of the property and asked them to come sign a complant. the whole time we jsut thought the cops were chill and just shootin the **** until the owner came signed the complant and then they arrested us and impounded our ****.

second i had another occasion where a cop tried beign all tuff **** with us and this time we were on my own property and i told him that and he coudlnt do **** and he knew it. but he still wrote two tickets for expired tags and no insurance tickets. I took it to court and lost. i personally dont understand how a cop can give me a ticket for not having current tags on a lot bike that I not only trialer to places but the fact it was my own property!!!!! i rolled the ****** outa my garage!!! why the **** would i need current tags.

in conclusion

Re: Quick Question about Stunting and Parking Lots

To be honest you couldn't do this in a worse state. Virginia is horrible with cops & laws & court systems. You can still be charged with all that **** bro. Unless you get the owners permission and I believe it has to be blocked off from a publick road.

Most likley if you have a suspended liscense your doing this **** your getting a bunch of tickets. The question will you go home with the tickets or will you get them when you get bailed out.

And the court will see that you didn't learn your lesson if you have your liscense suspended and your doing this.

And do you mean have "somone" haul your bike in a truck. Pretty sure if your driving your truck there thats a nono also.lol

Re: Quick Question about Stunting and Parking Lots

If you don't have a license you shouldn't be driving the bike anywhere period. It doesn't matter if your on private property or public roads.

You may have permission to ride on private property but you don't have permission to ride with no license.

Ppl think because its "private property" their untouchable and thats false.

Re: Quick Question about Stunting and Parking Lots

since when does the state suspend the on cycle part of a lisence and not the overall privelages of the license?

I mean if your ***** suspended, the cops are gonna notice you drove your truck there so either way your gonna get some screwin from the po po

but Mostly refer to imafrogs post...

Well if somone esle drives the truck just listen to the posts above and take out the truck part.

If you have a suspended liscense your stunting your kinda asking for the tickets. Its real shitty but to be honest I'd be willing to bet money that if the cops come there not just going to tell you to leave. Your gonna get fucked. Especially in VA

This is almost 100% correct. Except, you are not trespassing unless the place is posted "no trespassing" (or some other sign telling people to stay out) or you have already been told to leave and either refuse or leave and come back. You must first be warned or told to leave before you are trespassing. So if a cop gets the owner to sign a trespass order, he must inform you of that and you must be allowed to leave. To immediately arrest you is a violation of law.

Other than that, you do not need the express permission of the owner, although it is a HUGE help if the popo do decide to step beyond their bounds. And you can legally stunt on private property so long as you do not endanger other people or damage the place (burnouts can sometimes be considered damage, so use restraint in leaving marks behind). No license necessary. But, if you drive your truck there and your license is suspended, you still have a problem.

dude, hire a traffic attorney. every ticket can be won, especially in CA. do not assume just because you got a ticket that you are guilty. as one cop told me, it's all just a big cat and mouse game. if they don't play by the rules (which they usually don't) and you don't know because you don't know the rules yourself, they will always win.

this is true and sometimes you'll get bit. but the law is on your side if you stand up for yourself and your rights.

standing up for your rights is all fine and dandy but when a cop writes you for some bullshit that he knows you will beat in court he is still being a dick because now you have to go to court and possibly get a lawyer and miss time at work all because he want's to show his ***........

That's why you sue for false arrest after you win in court.

Re: Quick Question about Stunting and Parking Lots

You should get yourself a restricted license. Its only suppoed to be used for transportation back and fourth to work and school but if the popo didnt see you doing wheelies you could make up some sort of story about you just leaving work and you were having problems with your bike. I had a restricted license for a year and I used to ride all over the place. Good luck.

Re: Quick Question about Stunting and Parking Lots

I cant get a restricted cuz it was suspended for a year so i guess ill be scootin' around in a rinky dink moped for the next 12 months. I also got another question, how about abandoned places businesses leave behind, are those okay? I found one that was owned by an airline that went out of business but theres still a sign that says no trepassing so im kinda iffy about that
