Now ive taken clip ons off before on my other bikes. I have an 01 F4i, and ive loosened both bolts and i still cant get the clip ons off. Is there some lock clip holding it from coming off the fork or what? With the bolts all the way out, they still wont stretch enough to come up on the fork. They stop at the very top. Whats the deal. I feel like an idiot considering clip ons should be cake to take off. Any help is appreciated. Im wanting to take them off and grind the tab off so i can turn them out.

you loosen the triple tree and slide it over the forks, theres a tab on bottom that will slide into thre triple so loosen bolts in clips and the 2 on top of tree......where u at in nc

theres also 2 rings one on the top of each fork that u have to take out

there is a snap ring you have to take off, I just use a flat head screw driver and it pops right off

werd well there about 10 guys round here (gastonia,dallas,stanley)doin it but theres 3 of us who hit the spot daily, im out for this week cuz i have no skin on my right palm...the bike ran outa gas seat stander and superman over the bars. anyway get up with us come out and ride:YEAH

How fast were you going doing the SS? Not have any gear on? Makes me want to be more cautious. I havent tried a SS in 1st gear, i usually do them in 2nd but i dont have a HB either so i dont know how 1st gear would be. 2nd gear is not so bad but i still need to get me a HB

yea u prolly talked to jason (jstunna) or roger (painttrix) but anyway na i had no gear on like an idiot but anyway i was rollin prolly 20 and it died tossed me over the bars...So you dont stunt ride you just road ride right? becuz 1st gear the only way to go unless you rockin power wheelies on the road and thats what gets you fucked up besides takes way more skill to catch idle than to ride a pow pow wheelie....Anyway im Tj send me a message ill give you my number you can roll out and ride

You Dont Have To Grind Off The Tab To Turn Them Out!

There's absolutely NO NEED to loosen ANY of the triple bolts if your workin on the clip-ons.

EXACTLY! TAKE OUT THE 2 BOLTS SNAP OFF THE RING AND SLIDE THEM OFF! TURN CLIPON BUT THE 2 BOLTS BACK IN THE RINGS ARENO LONGER NEEDED KEEP THEM INCASE YOU EVER NEED THEM. THE REASON IS YOU WONT BE ABLE TOGET THEM BACK ON BECAUSE YOUR CLIPONS ARE GOING TO BE JUST A LITTLE HIGHER THAN THEY WERE

mine were on top when i got em so the tabs which would be on the bottom now are in the gap on each side of the triple tree..Their not like that now we puth the fi clips on it but yea i hada lossen my tree
