Re: 929 crash cages

I just had a really hard wreck on my 954, and my Freestyle Ingenuity cage absolutely saved my bike. Throttle stuck wide open while clutching up a 2nd gear sitdown (due to faulty throttle cables), and the bike flipped backwards super, super hard, landing on the db bars and tailsection before rolling a few times.

Picked the bike up, hit the starter button, and rode it home. Only suffered bent db bars, a broken footpeg and cracked tailsection. Bike would have been FUCKED if not for the cage. FI all the way for me!

Re: 929 crash cages

After landing upside down at 50mph, it barrel rolled at least 2x. That's why I was giving the cage some credit in saving the bike.

Re: 929 crash cages

The FI saved my 929 from a stand up 12 in 3rd gear. Yeah dented my tank and broke my left clipon. But nothing else was harmed. If it wasnt for the cage, i would have broken stator, clutch and no tellin what else. Credit where credit is due. Could only imagine if i had no cage at all, LMAO....=-)
