Arrow Street Ride Tire Wobble???

i'm out street riding today for the first time in 2 years and i'm getting some tire wobble. not really bad but enough for me to post about it. i've seen enough bike vids to know that slight wobble can get ugly in a hurry. for those who will need to know the info, i am running a 180 diablo on the back of my 636. i started out with 20 psi in the rear and then i upped it to 32 psi and it got better but it didn't eliminate it. so what are your thoughts???

first thing I thought...especially the front.....not nearly as big a deal on the back...suspension characteristics also play a roll in 'wobble'

Re: Street Ride Tire Wobble???

my 636 does this as well... a sitdown is near impossible because it will jump to one side, rebound, jump to the other, rebound again, jump, etc.. etc.. the wobbles are ALWAYS there during staggered or seat stander, never on tank tricks though.
I'm thinking it's just the way the rear suspension of a 636 was designed? They tend to wander around a lot on their own instead of straight tracking... makes for easy circles though.

anyone find a fix for it? I run my suspension full stiff, full rebound.. helped out a bit.

Re: Street Ride Tire Wobble???

it is usually due to your tire pressure being too low or jerky throttle

I run 20, I'll take it up to 30 and see what kind of differences it makes.

Re: Street Ride Tire Wobble???

i took mine all the way to like 35 on my 03 636 and ride standups for like at least a mile at 80-100
it gets a slight wobble at first ( i think due to the wind/fairing interaction but evens out quickly, just a slight wobblt not enough to jump)
its all about the smoothness on the throttle
up 5 in back down 1 in front

Re: Street Ride Tire Wobble???

the faster u go, the high psi you'll need. for all my street ****, i run 42 psi.

low psi 12-20 only helps for slow ****....it willl actually make things worst for fast **** acuse u feel every single thing on the road.
