damaged rims from the streets...?

ok, our streets (and lots), are the worst kind of **** there is...full of holes, waves, cuts, coal pits...every time I ride I jump into atleast few of ugly ones, and still haven't damaged my rim but feel that I could very easily...anyone had such situations? what is safe psi not to damage it? i run around 20 cuz of slippery surfaces but it feels to low to be safe...maybe im wrong...

depends on road and tire, if u hear a clunk or a thud when u hit the hole its already to late . i rock around 30 on realy bad road that we have out here, its got cracks every 6feet that are like 4 inches wide and no problems....my friend runs 25 fine on the same roads. id go lower....but knowin my luck the day i did that is the day id bend a rim

Re: damaged rims from the streets...?

If you do wheelies, stoppies, jump off curbs, bunny hops, hit pot holes, jump speed bumps, and all the other fun stuff that the streets have to offer - you're gonna bend wheels eventually.

It happens.

If you stunt sooner or later you will bend a rim. MC Wheel can straighten almost any wheel. www.mcwheel.com
If you tell him you stunt or tell him Josh sent you he will give you a better deal.

Re: damaged rims from the streets...?

i've never bent a rim on the street and we haev some dirty backwoods bullshit here.

only time i've ever bent a rim is a curb or serious end over end crash.....just riding or potholes, never had a ding.
