03 r6 setup

On a 03 r6 what all do I need? like.. Do I need a oil pick up? Does a 03 r6 have a tip over sensor? if so what's the mod for that? Can I run DB's with full fairing? I mean I always see people ask the basic questions cage hb gearing for this bike but I never see anyone ask these questions! thanks for any help!

all you need is a cage, thats all i ran on my stock 2005 R6 (hence the name "stock05") you can do the clean air mod, but its not necessary. DB will not work full fairing unless you cut down your upper. i never added an oil pick-up and was fine. im pretty sure they have a tip sensor, but i could scrape way past 12 and never had a problem . any other questions just ask. the most important thing is, DO NOT RUN A BAR JUST SCRAPE THE TAIL THE SUB-FRAMES ARE VERY FRAGILE!!!

Whats the clean air mod? and what would i have to cut down just the wind screen or the upper fairing bracket?

i dont know because i ran clip-ons, but even if i turned them out a little they hit. "trial and error," put them and see what you need to cut (dont make me start talking **** to you, im trying to be nice since your on a R6 instead of a F4i). the clean air mod is a vent tube from the crankcase, i never did it just clean my airbox every 2 weeks.

Re: 03 r6 setup

on the 03-05 R6 the tip over sensor is under the plastic part of the tail between the seats on the left side.. It says UP on it w/arrows.. I took it apart and filled it w/silicon to keep it happy..

I think I have a pic. of it (the sensor) in the subframe. If you need it...I could throw it up latter if needed...

i just went throught this.........i have a 55t geared steel sprocket, yes you can run dirt bars the tip sensor is under the seat pull it completely apart find its sweet spot silcone the sh*t out of it, sick innovations cage fi cage will crack the head on the right side if it takes a hard spill, 05 r6 front fork conversion, need a 00-02 rear master cylinder get the oval style hand brake from H.A.I. run a 636 radial for hand brake, moose clutch lever, and 636 normal master for front brakes, and you do not need a oil pick up if you not doing rev limiter coasters or 12 tricks.

Re: 03 r6 setup

the r6 needs an OMR SUBCAGE better peg position and stronger peg brackets ,the cage actually helps stiffen the subframe and helps keep it from twisting from side to side

$175 shipped ,pm me if your interested
