the problem with all the front brake masters from streetbikes is they have a LARGE bore size which is meant to be compressing into 2 seperate volumes (2 calipers) and when you switch it to handbrake it's hard as hell to squeeze, arm pump like crazy because you're making it squish only one caliper out
I rode with mine for 8 or 9 months (wish I had the brembo off the gate) don't get me wrong they work, but you'll get to a point where your skills will exceed the ability of that master. running a finger on clutch and a finger on the brake was a joke with that lever way too hard

the reason the brembo is sooo good is it's bore is 16x18 and it's real purpose is for the front of a race motard bike that uses only 1 caliper. make sense? I LOVE MY BREMBO and there is no looking back. basically any 16mm radial will work perfect and brembo happens to be the most reasonably priced model.
dont get me wrong the brembo is an excellent master, but not everybody has the dough for it. i get what your saying and that was the problem i was having with the radials (that and trying to fit them on stock F4i clip-ons comfortably). when i switched to the 954 master for some reason it has way more power with less pull force .

+100000000 I thought my gixxer master was good too till I actually rode with one. now I don't know how I rode without one. only had one practice and a 2 day show on it so far and I LOVE IT. no looking back

i don't doubt that they are good....but i'm looking at cost/use ratio here. my 14mm is powerful as can be so the 16x18 can't be any more powerful. the only thing it can win at is smoothness, which, because of superior workmanship it probably is, but i doubt enough that i would notice a difference. i would benefit more with using mine and getting better than putting a brembo on, in all honesty.

Re: brembo 16x18

i've got a used 16/18 brembo that i'll let go for $175 shipped!!!

And it's not the power of the brembo's that is so good... it's the combined power and progressive feel/smoothness/modulation that makes them so good.

They're not ON or OFF like most of the smaller bore masters out there. Any hb will bring ya down from a spreader or HC... the brembos are very good when ur workin on hb circle combos and off the pegs coasters... that's when u'll appreciate em most.
