alright so for the past 2 months i been in the lot practicing slow staggered, spreaders, seat standers, etc. on my 929. last week i was tryin to scrape the tail. well i got it past balancing point started on brake and scraped the tail laid on the brake and the bike twisted left and i went down. i was only doin bout 5 mph and the bike went from the 12 to right onto the engine mount part of my cage. i lifted up my bike and the cage snapped my frame in 3 spots. im pissed. i have never even dropped either of my bikes in the past 3 years i been ridin. just pissed off thought i would share.

right side engine mount on 929 breaks easily. FI cages will do that. i had to weld mine then re-inforce it with a 1/4" aluminum plate.

also, if you are just now trying to scrape staggered, i don't think you are at the point where you need to try slow spreaders.

and 5mph drag, step off the back and hold the bike up.

 

powers cage. and i know im not at the point yet but i gotta learn somehow and summer here aint too long lol.

i gonna take the frame off in the next week or so and weld it up.

it has a clean title anyone think it will be a problem selling it?

 

I was doing the same thing about 2 weeks ago on my 900rr and just before i hit the 12 bar the bike diped left and hit the corner of the 12. the bike launched and landed directly on the left side of the cage and smashed it into my stator cover...it was the FI cage...

 

that sux. did it break the cover?

 

Damn you got damage while having a Powers bolted up.. thought that was unheard of.. mabe I dont pay attention.. Powers on my F4i is the stoutest thing Ive ever seen !!

yeah i was so happy bout my 1st wreck and what not then pick up the bike and see the frame broke and just like what the hell. it just fell right i guess.

HAHAHAHA!!! yeah i was worried bout postin this on here for that reason. no but once it welded back up it be fine i think. nothin bent up. i have one kid interested already. it gonna be prolly 3 weeks before i get it ready to sell though cuz i have finals next week and then im headin to cali then i start my new job.
